Many April Wine fans are always surprised when they learn that Myles Goodwyn wrote most of his songs for AW on the acoustic guitar. He would then translate the original acoustic versions to fit the format of electric guitars and Marshall amplifiers, which is the signature sound of AW.
For Myles it’s been a great and rewarding experience, recording and performing with AW over the decades, and it continues to be so as the band still maintains a touring schedule throughout North America. But now it’s time for something completely different, something up close and personal.
This year, and for the first time Myles will be performing a series of solo performances acoustically at venues across Canada and the US. The songs that were written for April Wine (and other original compositions) will be performed publicly, they way they were originally were created acoustically.
The show will be musical with conversations and stories, meet and greets, book signings, photo ops and more.
